XD card recovery is even easier now that version 2.0 of File Finder has been issued. We’ve redesigned the File Finder data recovery program so as to increase the speed of memory scanning while searching through XD and other camera memory cards. XD flash data recovery does offer a different challenge than simple data recovery from your computer’s hard drive. One problem is that many camera memory cards can be formatted in different file system structures. Another basic problem is that XD memory cards access data extraordinarily quickly and as such are prone to corruption of that data during transfer. Simply put, the faster we move information around the more likely we are to lose some. XD picture card recovery is a little more difficult because of this.
Still File Finder 2.0 handles XD card recovery with ease. Once you start the File Finder program on your computer choose from the drop down menu the drive showing the location of your XD card. Then select the quick scan file search option and click on the find files button. Your missing or deleted files will quickly be presented to you on a list for preview or recovery. If you accidentally reformatted your XD card select the option of complete scan. This option will take considerably longer to scan through the memory card but will recover files lost through reformatting.
