So many people write to us at File Finder pleased that they were able to use our program to recover deleted picture files. Apparently there is no file type so important to us as those used to contain precious photographs from vacations and important family moments. This makes sense, as we might be able to reconstruct a Microsoft Word document from our notes. Unless one is willing to travel back to the exact place and time we took a picture, which we might add is impossible, and retake the shot, once a photographic file is lost the picture is gone forever. Unless one uses File Finder to easily recover deleted picture files.

As with any data recovery project, the key is to at all costs avoid overwriting new information on to the digital media we stored the pictures on in the first place. This means that if you save your photos onto your digital camera’s memory card and then accidentally deleted pictures on that card before downloading them to your computer, you positively must not take any new pictures onto that card until you have a chance to run the File Finder search program through it and place those pictures onto your computer’s hard drive.
