The best photo recovery software isn’t even labeled as such. There are plenty of programs labeled as being designed and built expressly for the purpose of recovering digital photographs. And while a few of these are specifically directed at image recovery as a task, most do not have the important features necessary for fast and efficient photo recovery. A quality digital image recovery program will easily recognize all of the most popular photo file types and extensions. These are simple JPEG, GIF, PNG and similar image file formats. It should also be remembered that most high end camera manufacturers save their files initially in what are known as RAW formats. For example, Minolta has their own file system, as does Canon, Nikon, and Olympus.
Once File Finder scans your hard drive or camera memory card for deleted files, it locates for recovery every file type including new file extensions it may never have seen before. Obviously if you are attempting to recover deleted MRW files and File Finder presents for you a list of files ending with .mrw, you can easily choose those as being your missing Minolta images. The File Finder advanced instructions page includes a complete list of file extensions used by all of the major camera manufacturers. You need not purchase a separate program to recover digital photos. File Finder will work just as well as any of those programs and will still be available to you for all of your other file recovery projects.
