mmc-memory-cardAn MMC or MultiMedia card is a flash memory digital storage card using a specified standard that allows it to integrate with a variety of digital devices such as video cameras, digital cameras and PDAs. This standard is almost identical to basic SD card design with the only difference being the amount of the actual physical connection remaining visible. A specific advantage of an MMC card is its slightly smaller physical size than that of a standard camera memory card. This allows it to be used for storage in devices such as mobile phones. Files are stored in multimedia cards in the same manner as are stored in any other type of solid state flash memory. Hence when we are dealing with a problem requiring MMC recovery we simply address that situation as we do any other file recovery task. This is done by loading onto our computer the File Finder recovery program.

Why you should use File Finder to retrieve files from MMC storage
A special advantage that File Finder has over other data recovery programs when searching for recoverable files on MMC cards is that File Finder works for MMC recovery regardless of the format your memory card is using. Many file recovery programs are limited in their scope so that if a digital storage device is formatted in FAT32 then their program may not be able to recognize the boot sectors of that storage device and as a consequence will not be able to find any files. Because File Finder supports all Windows file systems from the earliest file allocation tables to the presently used new technology file system, you can count on the program to literally cross reference file structures. This means that File Finder will locate and recover more different types of files in many different types of storage media. File Finder is a powerful all in one general purpose file recovery tool especially suited for MMC recovery.

Because MMC cards are used for such a variety of applications is not unusual to see a mixture of file types stored. Many PDAs use proprietary file types specifically for their devices. This is also true of high end digital cameras and music players. Fortunately File Finder recognizes basic file structure and will locate files even if those specific files are not on File Finders mass of list of file types. Where other data recovery products are soon obsolete once a new digital device is invented using a special and unique file type, File Finder remains a viable product with its ability to read and recover any file.

How fast, safe and easy is it to use File Finder?
file-finder-cdFile Finder always loads by means of your computer’s CD/DVD disk drive. We load File Finder this way so as to prevent any possibility of accidentally overwriting the very files we plan to recover. Once the File Finder program has been started, choose the drive holding your MMC card from the drop down select menu. Follow the illustrated File Finder instructions as to how to choose your recovery options. Then click on find files. In less than 5 minutes, any existing files or deleted files that were stored on your MMC card are made available on a list for recovery. Any or all of the files shown can be selected for MMC recovery and instantly saved to other safe storage such as your computer’s internal hard drive, an external hard drive or a simple USB compact flash drive.
