There is one factor that makes laptop hard drive data recovery quite different from the conventional process of recovering files that have been accidentally deleted or damaged on a desktop computer. Obviously laptop computers are far smaller in size than desktop computers utilizing full sized towers. Using a conventional data recovery utility, one is obliged to dismantle their computer and remove from it the hard drive. This drive is then connected to a working computer by means of cables. It is also possible to simply download data recovery software onto the computer you would like to rescue deleted files from but this is never recommended, as the download itself usually overwrites the locations on the hard drive holding deleted data. Removing a computer’s hard drive is definitely the preferred technique unless you opt to use File Finder.
Because File Finder loads directly onto your computer’s microprocessor by means of your CD/DVD disk drive, there is never any danger of overwriting deleted files and of course no dismantling of your computer is ever required. Hard drives and other internal components on laptop computers are typically small and extremely fragile. It is never a wise idea for anyone to attempt to disassemble a laptop computer. Now, thanks to File Finder, taking apart your laptop to recover deleted files and for other data recovery functions is no longer necessary.
