There’s an obvious reason that laptop hard disk recovery is more difficult than recovery of files from a desktop computer. The reason is that all of the components built into compact portable computers are much smaller and finite in their operation. Even the simple Philips head screws that hold together your notebook PC are extremely small and very easy to damage. When using most file recovery software, you are required to dismantle your computer and either send the hard drive off to a disk recovery repair shop or connect that HDD yourself to another working PC by means of serial cables. Mind you connecting your laptop hard drive to the motherboard of a large desktop PC is not a simple task, as the location of the connections is not readily apparent.
A better solution for laptop hard disk recovery is the FileFinder data recovery system. Our software is a general purpose data retrieval utility that will rescue lost or deleted files from any desktop or laptop that uses any version of Windows. FileFinder loads on to your PC by means of its CD/DVD disk drive, therefore you never will need to dismantle your computer or connect it to another PC using cables. Should your notebook PC have a crashed drive and not be able to load Windows and start, FileFinder is able to start your computer using its built in Windows OS. This smaller version of Windows is powerful enough to start your computer and give you access to all of the information stored on its hard disk. Using FileFinder you can then copy those files to external storage connected to your PC such as a USB book drive. Or if the volume of information you need to recover is smaller you can simply save those copied files to a compact flash drive. In any case, once you have rescued your files from your laptop hard drive, you are free to safely reload the Windows operating system. Reloading Windows will restore your laptop computer to full operating capability. Once done you can move all of your saved files back onto your laptop.
