iPod data recovery is recovery of accidentally deleted or damaged files from the solid state or disk storage of your iPod music player. Many people do not realize that an iPod stores files as digital information in the exact same manner as does a personal computer. The files used for storing iPod songs and videos are MP3 and MP4 file types. These are songs and videos respectively. iPod data recovery is more simply referred to as iPod file recovery. To use File Finder for this purpose, simply connect your iPod to your computer’s USB drive port. Next, load into your computer’s CD/DVD disk drive the special File Finder recovery disk. You will have created this by using the File Finder installation package. Now start your computer with both the disk in place and your iPod connected. File Finder will start your computer using its proprietary miniature version of Windows.

Once File Finder has started your computer, you can use the program menu to examine all of the songs stored on your iPod or start the File Finder recovery program. Once File Finder is started, you select the drive connected to your iPod and scan through that entire drive for any deleted music files. Once located you simply look over the list of song titles and choose the ones you would like to bring back to life.
