Image rescue entails using a superior photo recovery program such as File Finder to scan any drive on which you have recently deleted files or on which you believe file damage has occurred. Upon loading File Finder by means of the special recovery disk onto your computer, select from the drop down menu the drive last associated with your image files. After clicking the find files button, File Finder will scan that drive in mere seconds and return to you a list of every file existing and recently deleted from that drive. Image files can be previewed using File Finder simply by double clicking each file and examining the thumbnail picture created to the right.
File Finder supports all currently in use digital photography image file formats and extensions. This includes common and popular file types such as jpegs and GIFs as well as high end camera manufacturer proprietary storage files known as RAW files. An important note to remember is that File Finder as a general purpose data recovery tool is not only a great utility for image rescue, it is also powerful software for all kinds of data recovery problems including but not limited to memory card recovery, hard drive recovery and music players such as iPods file recovery.
