green-vista-icon-2Hard disk crash recovery just got a whole lot easier now that File Finder has been made available to the general public. For several years the technology used in File Finder was only available to licensed Microsoft engineers. Specifically this was access to an application known as WIN PE. With the introduction of Windows Vista WIN PE it was opened up to the public. This served as the foundation for the File Finder data recovery system. Prior to this time, recovery of files stored on a crashed hard disk drive required the user to dismantle their computer and remove its hard drive. The drive was then connected by means of serial cables directly to the motherboard of a second working PC. The data recovery program would be installed on to that PC and that program would piggyback directions into the crashed hard drive. This would allow access to the drive and enabled copying of all the files the crashed hard drive contained.

The challenges of traditional crashed hard drive recovery methods
The complications that arise when attempting hard disk crash recovery in this manner are countless. To begin with some computers use Serial connections and others use Parallel ATA connections. no-hardwareSo you may very well dismantle your desktop or laptop computer, go out and purchase a special connecting cable, partially dismantle another working computer so as to give yourself access to its motherboard, and then after all of this discover that the connections are completely incompatible. Now you must search for another computer whose motherboard will work with your hard drive.

Not only are we reluctant to dismantle our own computer, hoping that we don’t damage it in the process, our friends and associates are very unlikely to entrust us with their computer so that we can dismantle it and connect cables to it. This is why most hard disk crash recovery is assigned to very expensive data recovery service laboratories. This is also why we created File Finder as a working method for “do it yourself” hard disk crash recovery.

How you can easily recover files from crashed drives with File Finder
All you need to do to rescue files locked away in a crashed hard drive using File Finder is to download the File Finder installation package onto any working Windows based computer. You cannot use File Finder on Macs. You will only be borrowing the use of this computer for about 5 minutes so this process can be done at work or in any friends or on any spare computer in your home if you have one.

The CD or DVD is then loaded into any computer with a crashed hard drive. Even if your computer is displaying a Windows blue error screen or freezes when reaching the Windows welcome screen File Finder will start up your computer using its own operating system. Once File Finder starts your computer you can then use its powerful scanning and copying features to reach inside of your crashed hard drive and rescue all of your files.

When using File Finder none of that complication exists. File Finder loads directly onto any computer by means of its disk drive and using the special miniature version of Windows and opens that drive for file access. Once you have successfully copied out any important stored files from your crashed hard drive you are then free to reload Windows and restore your computer to full original operating status.
