The term flash disk recovery is actually quite incorrect. Flash memory utilizes completely solid state construction. This is the type of memory used in compact flash drives, thumb drives, and camera memory cards. Disk storage refers to a rotating platter that is magnetically charged inside of a large sized computer hard drive. Hence flash disk recovery would be better and more correctly named as flash drive recovery. With this thought assumed and hopefully understood we can now explain for you how simple recovery of lost or deleted files from solid state flash drives can be.

For flash drive file recovery you can either load the File Finder recovery disk and restart your computer so that the File Finder shell now runs and operates your PC or simply load that disk and access it from your current Windows operating system. In either case you will use the program menu to start File Finder and select on the drop down menu the drive and type of digital device you want to recover files from. On computers using Vista or newer versions of Windows the actual device will be depicted in an illustration. After you select the drive simply click on find files and File Finder will do all the rest for you presenting a list of all recoverable files on that drive. If by any chance the files you are looking for are not on that list you can opt for a much slower and consequently much more thorough search through the select options page. Of course all of these directions are explained in much more detail in the illustrated File Finder instructions that come with every version of File Finder.
