No, FAT file recovery does not address the issue of finding and retrieving files that are larger in size than others. FAT recovery refers to retrieval of files stored on computer hard drives that use the file allocation table system for management of data. The file allocation table system was the initial directory method put into use by Windows for earlier versions of their operating system. When facing a problem described as FAT file rescue the main thing to be aware of is that the entire concept of files being stored in the FAT format and only being retrievable with a program specifically designed to recover FAT files is a complete lie.
Any quality file recovery program should be able to recover files stored using the FAT system or the newer NTFS system. Even when attempting to recover files on digital storage devices that have been reformatted in a given file system you should expect your file recovery program to be successful. Better data recovery programs such as File Finder are built to recognize whole files regardless of the storage format. The only exception to this of course is when you are attempting file recovery on a non-compatible operating system such as Linux or Mac.
