Before you download data recovery software onto your computer there is an essential piece of information you need to be aware of. Programs downloaded onto your computer’s hard drive do not necessarily store in the exact same position on that drive. In fact file information can be scattered throughout your computer’s disk drive jumping from sector to sector. If you download software directly onto your computer’s hard drive there is a 90% likelihood that the program will download directly on top of any recently deleted files that you hoped to undelete. Once you overwrite that information, restoration is impossible. The point of all this being you simply cannot download data recovery software onto a computer from which you need to retrieve deleted items. Most recovery programs take great pains to never mention that you must download their program on to an alternative computer and then connect by means of a cable that computer’s motherboard directly to the hard drive on which you plan to reclaim lost files.
A superior alternative method of file rescue is to download the FileFinder installation package on to a second or spare computer and using that computer create your own data recovery disc. This disc will allow our software to load and start any computer from which you need to get deleted files back. By loading FileFinder and starting your affected computer directly from the CD/DVD disk drive there’s never any chance of destroying information you need to recover that is stored on your computer’s internal hard drive.
