Finding lost Microsoft Word documents is sometimes called Doc recovery. While generally speaking recovery of simple document files is a very basic function, there are instances in which this type of file recovery does require a bit more skill. Inside the File Finder advance instructions package are complete steps as to how one locates and rescues Microsoft Word documents. The basic premise is as follows: If you have accidentally deleted a Microsoft Word file that uses the DOC extension you can locate that file simply by directing File Finder to scan through your entire hard drive on a fast scan level and then use the sort function of File Finder to pick out only those files bearing the .DOC extension. This type of Microsoft Word Doc recovery is very simple and almost foolproof.

A far more difficult Word recovery solution is required when you have opened a new Microsoft Word document and neglected to save that document before closing it. A similar case is presented when power is interrupted with your open work on screen. In this more severe situation you will need to complete a very slow scan of your entire hard drive and then check the time date stamp of all recently created files to find the temporary desktop folder your half finished work was stored in. Make no mistake this is a difficult task, but using File Finder even Microsoft Word documents that were never saved can be rescued.
