The first step in the process of digital picture recovery is to ascertain where it is most likely that our digital image file information is still intact. For example, if you have completed the transfer of 100 digital photographs from your camera memory card into your computer’s hard drive and now one month later are unable to locate those files, your best option for digital picture recovery will be to load File Finder and scan your computer’s hard drive. Once the search and scan function is completed, use the drop down function menu of the search box to select pictures. Once the selection is made File Finder will automatically sort all of the recoverable files found narrowing down the list to only picture file formats such as jpegs, GIFs etc. If your picture files were stored in an obscure format, you can choose to type that specific file extension such as a Minolta MRW extension into the search box and bring up only those specific file types.
As first mentioned you must ascertain where the greatest likelihood of location that your original file content will exist in. Basically, when recovering digital pictures, the options are your computer’s internal hard drive or your digital camera’s memory card. If your files were damaged or deleted before they could be downloaded into your computer or if the download process was interrupted, use File Finder to scan through your camera’s memory card. In just minutes any lost digital pictures will be found and saved.
