hard-driveData loss recovery is a multi-billion dollar business. Most huge corporations actually employ specialists just for the purpose of protecting and recovering data on their networks. Usually information on large business networks is protected by means of redundant backup systems. This simply means that the information stored by large companies such as Wal-Mart or Bank of America is saved in several separate datacenters. The obvious point of this is that if identical data is saved to several locations and one of those locations should fail, the information can still be recovered and accessed. We do the same thing ourselves on our personal computers when we create image backups to external storage such as large book drives. Unfortunately many problems resulting in hard drive and other computer failure occurs just when we do not expect them. When this happens, we need a plan for data loss recovery, albeit on a very small scale.

File restoration for basic PC data loss
The average problem a home or small business computer user faces in terms of lost archives occurs when we accidentally delete a desired file. Usually this is a simple human error such as emptying the Windows recycle bin before double checking all of its content.

windows-blue-screenA larger scale problem the computer owner will eventually face is a hard drive crash. Any computer that is used on a regular basis is very likely to suffer a logic hard drive crash. This means that important operating system files needed to run the computer have received damage and as such their computer will no longer access files and sometimes will not even start. Home and small business can depend on FileFinder as a means to access crashed hard drive folders and restart failed desktop and laptop computers.

Our program was never designed for use in recovery of massive banking and other industry related database information. We designed FileFinder as a powerful tool specifically structured for the average computer user.
no-hardwareWhen we built this program, we knew that very few computer owners like the idea of taking apart their computer to remove and repair components. This is especially true when dealing with laptop computers where all of the internals are miniaturized. The idea behind FileFinder was to make a program that installed to any type of computer on a simple recovery disk that would start the computer and guide the user through every phase of file rescue.

This is exactly what we did as anyone with even the most basic computer skills such as the ability to surf the Internet or send an e-mail can easily use our program to retrieve damaged or deleted folders. In fact anyone can use FileFinder for as difficult a task as data loss recovery of files from a crashed hard drive or a laptop computer that will not start.

Using FileFinder is simple
You download an installation package onto any friends or spare computer and use that computer to burn a CD or DVD from a file included in the installation package. The package even includes a CD burner program in case you don’t have one. The disk you create can then be loaded onto any computer with lost files, even if those items are locked away in a crashed hard drive. The data rescue disk will start a crashed computer and direct you in how to copy from that computer all of your precious saved files.
