Companies such as SanDisk have recently expanded the storage capability of compact flash cards. Whereas these same cards could hold only around 512 MB a few years ago, we now have available compact flash cards that can store up to 32 GB of data. This is as much storage as you will find in many internal hard drives. For this reason, quite a few people have taken to using compact flash cards as a simple way to backup large amounts of important data. Of course any time you transfer large amounts of data, that being any amount of data over two GB, you run the risk of losing information during the process of transfer.
Often we use compact flash cards as a transfer medium to move large files from one PC to another. Unless we specifically check the files transferred, we may not be aware that we have lost files during the transfer. We will then delete the files stored on the compact flash card so as to prepare the card for new data. If you have deleted files on a compact flash card or reformatted that card so as to accommodate any new transfer, you can use File Finder as a simple tool for compact flash card recovery. File Finder will scan through even the largest compact flash cards in just a couple of minutes. And File Finder will locate every accidentally deleted or deleted through reformatting file.
File recovery in any format from any digital storage media
File Finder is a great tool for digital photo recovery, Microsoft Word document recovery, program application recovery and also recovery of all files locked away in crashed hard drives.
When performing a digital photo recovery task begin by ascertaining whether your files were last successfully located on either your computer’s internal hard drive or new digital camera. By digital camera we also include any memory or SD cards inserted into your camera. Choose the location or drive that you believe your files were last located in and intact. Now simply click on the find files button and File Finder will create a list of all existing and deleted files on that drive. As we are dealing with image files you can double click any recoverable file to preview the image before selecting it for final saving.
Word recovery on Compact Flash drives
Recovering Microsoft Word documents that have been accidentally deleted is much the same process. The difference being that documents are usually saved on compact flash cards as well as your computer’s hard drive.
For compact flash card recovery once again choose the drive your documents were last saved or opened on and direct File Finder to scan that drive. Now once your list of recoverable files has been created simply choose the documents option in the File Finder search box to narrow down the list of recoverable files. Fortunately File Finder recovers files with the original file names intact so it is a simple matter to scroll down the list until you see your original file name.
When using File Finder for crashed hard drive recovery you can opt to use the automatic copy function built into File Finder’s platform shell to safely export all of your hard drive files or open the File Finder program and have it search through that hard drive for any deleted files. From compact flash card recovery to crashed hard drive recovery or any type of data recovery project at all you can depend on File Finder as an all in one solution.
